Fresh off the back of SodiKart’s signing of 2 fast British drivers, Energy Corse has also made a pair of British signings as part of their 15 driver roster for 2021.

The first, being Alfie Slater. The Slater name is nothing new to European karting, with big brother Freddie securing last year’s junior world title last season at his first attempt. So it’s no supprise that Alfie has found his way onto the Mini 60 grid. Slater made his debut for the team back at the WSK Open Cup in December, coming back from a few incidents to finish the event in 19th. Slater will be joined by Sasha Van’t Pad Bosch (NLD), Joel Pohjola (FIN), Hugo Martiniello (FRA) and Jensen Burnett (CAN).

The second to join the team is Brandon Carr. Carr spent most of 2020 with Oliver Rowland Motorsport with a busy programme of races. A late season switch to Mick Barrett Racing to complete his British Championship campaign saw him net him 18th overall in his first year in juniors. He also had runs in the UKC and at the Iame Winter Cup with ORM, seeing him finish the Euro event in 12th overall. He also has the talented Ben Barnicoat coaching him. Carr will race alongside Nathan Schaap (NLD), Sirvydas Simkus (LTU) and Yaroslav Trukhin (RUS).

To kick off the season, the Energy Corse team will launch a charge on the WSK events, which kicks off this weekend with the champions Cup.
