Arguably, the biggest team in karting is TonyKart. Tied to the Ferrari driver academy, they usually host some of the most talented drivers in the world. With that in mind, their 2021 driver line up, is pretty special.

They are also pretty selective over the drivers they host, only taking 2 drivers into the OK Junior category for 2021 and for this year, they have gone with an Anglo-American line up. Harley Keeble’s services have been retained for another year, and hes joined by Mini 60 graduate James Egozi (USA). Keeble’s rookie season with the team went well: 5th in the European Championship alongside 12th in the WSK Super Masters series were solid performances for his first year. Egozi will be looking to build on his 9th in the WSK Euro Series, while adapting to the OKJ machinery.

In TonyKart’s OK line up is a tale of 2 halves. They have retained the services of Joe Turney and defending World Champion Callum Bradshaw, and paired them up with talented OKJ graduates Alfio Spina (ESP) and Tuukka Taponen (FIN). This should prove to be a formidable pairing, as all four are excellent drivers in their own right, with Spina and Taponen having a successful career in OKJ. Paired to the experience brought to the table by Turney and Bradshaw, TonyKart will be a force to be reckoned with.

They are joined by four more, full time drivers covering KZ and KZ2. Those ranks being lead by Simo Puhakka (FIN), who makes the move from KZ2 up to KZ alongside Pedro Hiltbrand (ESP). Puhakka will be looking to build on his 3rd in the European Championship, while Hiltbrand will have his eyes on a second World title.

In KZ2, the pairing of Josef Knopp (CZE) and Gilles Stadsbader (BEL) will be looking to make their mark. Stadsbader joins the team from Forza Racing, making the step into gearbox karting for 2021. Meanwhile, Knopp comes back to karts after a season racing in Formula 4 with Mucke Motorsport which saw him finish 12th in both the German and UAE championships.

The first test for the 2021 Tonykart line up will be the WSK Champions Cup, which takes place at Adria this weekend.
