MSA announce dates for British Championship

The MSA have announced the callender for the 3 groups that form the British Karting Championship. Each group will have 6 rounds at 6 different circuits. The calenders for each group are below.

ROTAX

Senior Rotax, Senior Rotax Max 177, Junior Rotax, Rotax MiniMax
30-31 March: PFi
25-26 May: Rowrah
29-30 June: Mansell Raceway
17-18 August: Clay Pigeon
14-15 sept: Forest Edge
12-13 October: Whilton Mill

There are some new venues just in the Rotax calender. The British Championships will visit Mansell Raceway (Dunkeswell) for the first time and will see a return to Forest Edge. Both venues are no strangers to large Rotax grids.

IAME

Senior IAME X30, Junior IAME X30, Mini X30, IAME Cadet
12-14 April: PFi
10-12 May: Shenington
7-9 June: Larkhall (subject to track extension)
12-14 July: Rowrah
23-25 August: Wigan
27-29 September: Whilton Mill

The Iame calender is more interesting. Firstly, there is a return to Three Sisters in Wigan. This will be the the first time since 2013. Also present is Larkhall, however there is a catch. The circuit must complete its planned extension. WSKC announced back in 2016 that it had plans for the extension at the back end of the circuit.

TKM INCLUDING HONDA CADET

Senior TKM Extreme, Junior TKM, Honda Cadet Championship*
27-28 April: PFi
18-19 May: Rissington
22-23 June: Fulbeck
27-28 July: Shenington
7-8 September: Kimbolton
19-20 Oct: Whilton Mill
*Will have its own championship title

The TKM calender sees the return of Fulbeck, while visiting the traditional range of circuits. The series will also visit Kimbolton, after the anual TKM festival, traditionally held in August.

Throughout each calender there is a constant, with each starting at PF International and finishing at Whilton Mill. Each group visits the two circuits seperately, meaning there wont be the traditionally packed timetable at the final round of the year. It also presents the opportunity for drivers to compete in all 3 groups. Will we see the first person to win all 3 junior or senior classes next season?
