The Bambino kart club, which has fast become the place to start a drivers karting career, has announced its 2019 calendar. The series which caters for drivers from 6 years old will race at 7 circuits, contesting 8 rounds over the course of the year. The Skusa Supernationals has fast become one of the biggest karting events in the world. This year it is expected to attract over 500 drivers over a large range of classes. Current Red Bull Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has announced a new kart race series in the UK for 2019. Called the Daniel Ricciardo Series (DRS), it will effectivley replace the BirelArt UK series. The series will use the same Iame EK engines, but will move to the Ricciardo brand of chassis. There will be 3 classes, catering for drivers from age 6. The starting point for those drivers will be the cadet class, using a 62cc engine on the L28 chassis. If you haven’t heard of Club100, where have you been? The Club run what is  regarded as the fastest and most professional arrive and drive karting series in the UK and Europe. Since its inception back in 1993, the series has used air cooled TKM engines to power its karts. The engines are direct drive, rev to 15,000 rpm and produce around 18hp.
