Senior X30: MacDonald wins as Turney Completes Mega Recovery

The Senior X30 class had the largest fields with 90 drivers, with some extremely talented drivers. The entry list included the likes of X30 World Champion Joe Turney, CIK Karting Academy Trophy winner Mari Boya and Lewis Gilbert who had a strong run at the world finals last year. The star of qualifying though was Dean MacDonald, lapping 2 tenths faster than anyone else. Morgan Porter was 2nd fastest with Leevi Lintukanto 3rd, Daniel Macia was 4th with Joe Turney 5th. Travisanutto wins for HTP in Adria

The 4 round WSK Super Masters Series kicked off last weekend (Feb 1/2/3) at Adria, where 39 of the top drivers took to the track in the OK class. The action kicked off with qualifying, which saw a drying track play its hand in the results. After the 2 sessions, it was Ward Racing’s Sebastian Ogaard who took pole, topping group 2 with a 1:03.229, while Team Komarov’s Aleksey Sizov topped group 1 with a 1:03.380. At the weekend, Super one hostesd its annual awards evening to consider with Autosport International. Here all the champions were crowned and the seeded numbers for 2019 were handed out.
