CIK FIA season pushed back until August
July was supposed to be the month of karting, however there has been a quiet cancellation in the UK, and now a higher profile cancellation, for the CIK calendar.
The first round of the OK and OK Junior season, due to be held at Kristianstad has been called off. According to a press release on their site, the ASN of Sweden has had to pull the plug on the event, and due to the congestion caused by trying to fit a full season’s racing into a few months, it will not be rescheduled.
That means that the OK and Junior season will now run as a 3 round championship, kicking off at Zuera, Spain on the first weekend of August. Round 2 remains at Adria in August, before the final round at Wackersdorf in September.

31st July – 2nd August – Zuera, ESP – Euro Champs Round 1
21st – 23rd August – Sarno, ITA – Euro Champs Round 2
11th – 13th September – Wackersdorf, DEU – Euro Champs Round 3
6th – 8th November – Portimao, PRT – World Championship
