47 of the World’s top drivers were present in Lonato to do battle for one of the biggest prize in karting. Defending champion Patrik Hajek was not present in Lonato, so a new champion was gaurenteed. Denner and Sodikart dominate KZ2 Supercup

122 drivers descended on Lonato for the KZ2 Supercup, a support race to the KZ World Championship. All the top drivers were present on the grid, including most of the factory teams. Despite the huge amount of drivers there was one name that rose to the top. That being Sodikart’s Emilien Denner. Kajus Siksnelis becomes FIA Karting Academy Champion

The final round of the FIA Karting Academy trophy supported the KZ World Championships at Lonato this weekend. It would see 46 drivers from around the globe competing on identical karts. Qualifying was headed up by Lithuania’s Kajus Siksnelis, setting a benchmark time of around the Italian circuit. Singapore’s Christian Ho was 2nd fastest, less than a tenth behind. Hunter Confirmed as Champion in Junior Rotax

The Junior Rotax championship was all but decided heading into Forest Edge, with Kai Hunter unable to be caught on dropped scores, even if Tom Adams had a perfect weekend. The first official race for the Rotax Micro Max class was held as part of the final British Championship round at Forest Edge this weekend (Sept 14/15) with 17 drivers taking advantage of the free Engine hire and entry to try the class for 2020. A short deluge greeted the Junior Drivers for the final of the World Championships in Alaharma, Finland. A full day of dry running would lead to a final in extremely tricky conditions. The final of the World Championship took place in drying conditions in Finland after a late down poor before the Junior final took place.
