Rotax british championship goes for august start

The revised calendar for the last of the main British championship classes has finally been shown off. Like the Iame classes, the Rotax championship will kick off in August with a round at Lydd. Tal-ko announce Shortened TKM British Championship Dates, Festival Cancelled

The second of the British Championship calendars has been revealed, with a 3 round calendar being set in place for the TKM categories. By comparison to the Iame calendar which was announced last week, the TKM field will have a late start, with their season kicking off at Kimbolton in September. Iame British Calendar confirmed with August start

Yesterday, we wrote that it looked like the top level of British Karting, the British Championships, wouldn’t start until August, despite Motorsport UK only suspending permits until July 1st. Qualifying starts for Motorsport UK eSports series

The first stage of the Motorsport UK eSports series is under way, with drivers currently lapping a virtual version of Buckmore Park in the hopes of qualifying. The hot lap shoot out will aim to find the top 60 drivers in each class, who will progress to the Semi Finals. Motorsport UK Class Open to Motorsport UK licence holders aged 12+, this class uses the Iame X30 kart included with the KartSim demo software. Motorsport UK extends suspension to June 30th

Earlier in the month, Motorsport UK announced that they would be suspending all permits up until April 30th. That effectively halted all motorsport within the UK, karting included. As the UK heads towards a complete lock down due to the Covid-19 virus, Motorsport UK have come out today and said they will be extending the suspension up to June 30th. Expanded Calendar for KZ2 British Championship

The calendar for the KZ2 British Championship has been revealed today, with an extra round over last season. The season will start in April as the series heads to the Mansell Raceway supporting the Rotax classes. The Final round of the Iame British championship took place at Whilton Mill, a track which has already become notorious for its strict track limits. The two main zones where track limits are penalised are the Ashby hairpin and final corner passing the pits.
